PixelPeople is excited to share that the Boom Ball website has received a Gold Award in the 2026 dotCOMM Awards, recognizing excellence in digital communication and creative web design.
Boom Ball is a new live sports entertainment experience built around a fast-paced, high-energy take on baseball. Ahead of its inaugural 2026 tour, PixelPeople partnered with the Boom Ball team to create a website that could introduce the new sports entertainment concept, capture the energy and personality of the brand, and turn that excitement into ticket sales and fan engagement.
The custom WordPress website combines bold visuals, dynamic motion, event photography and playful interactions to give visitors an immediate sense of the Boom Ball experience. At the same time, the site makes it easy for first-time visitors to understand the game, explore upcoming tour stops, purchase tickets and shop branded merchandise.
Behind the scenes, the website was built to grow along with the organization. Flexible content management tools allow the Boom Ball team to update events, announcements, and site content, while an integrated WooCommerce store and Printful fulfillment help support merchandise sales without the need to manage inventory.
