PixelPeople is a boutique digital agency based in Chicago’s western suburbs. We specialize in custom WordPress web development for businesses in a wide variety of industries. We also provide ongoing support & maintenance, digital marketing, and related technical services so we can support every facet of our clients’ web presence.
We are currently looking for a Web Designer to create modern and engaging web page layouts, user interfaces, digital ads and marketing emails. The ideal candidate will be experienced in responsive design, knowledgeable about the Twitter Bootstrap grid system, and familiar with the WordPress platform. This is a remote, contract position, that could turn into a part-time or even full-time position in the near future.
This contract position starts at $30-45/hour, DOE.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- A positive, team-focused attitude. We want to build a team of helpful talent, not egos.
- Excellent organization and written/verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to thoroughly evaluate your own work.
- A strong understanding of UI/UX design & usability.
- A strong command of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop, and other common graphic design apps used for web design (Canva/Figma/Sketch).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, flexbox and the Twitter Bootstrap grid system, to design responsive layouts for any screen size according to best practices.
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- Availability during regular business hours (Central Time).
