PixelPeople is a boutique digital agency based in Chicago’s western suburbs. We craft custom WordPress websites for businesses across diverse industries, and back them up with ongoing support, digital marketing, and technical services that keep clients’ web presence thriving.
We’re looking for a Web Designer who can create modern, engaging designs for websites, landing pages, user interfaces, digital ads, and marketing emails. The ideal candidate is passionate about design and usability, comfortable working with responsive layouts, and familiar with the WordPress ecosystem.
This is a remote, contract position starting at $35–55/hour, DOE. Hours typically start light, with the potential to grow into part-time or full-time.
What You’ll Do
- Design clean, user-friendly page layouts and digital assets
- Collaborate with developers to bring designs to life online
- Support digital campaigns with ad and email design
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of professional experience in web/digital design
- Strong UI/UX sense with an eye for usability and accessibility
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma/Sketch/Canva
- Front-end awareness: HTML, CSS, flexbox, and Bootstrap grid knowledge, to ensure the feasibility of your designs
- Organized communicator who can manage details, deadlines, and collaboration
- A positive, team-focused attitude—we value talent without the ego
- Availability during standard U.S. business hours (Central Time)
