Who should work with us?

We’re a great fit for small to medium-sized companies who need to step up their brand and their online presence, but don’t have the bandwidth or the in-house expertise to do it themselves. Let us act as an extension of your business—your “in-house, off-site” creative & technical team. We’ll tend to your work and your mission like it’s our own.

We also work great with other agencies who need specialized skills or additional capacity from time-to-time. Agencies actually make up the majority of our clientele—we’re able to work seamlessly with your in-house team, and provide work to the exacting standards you demand.

Who should *NOT* work with us?

We’ll be honest–we’re not a good fit for businesses who don’t understand the value of branding and marketing, and don’t want to invest in (or reap the rewards of) “doing it right.”

If you’re comparing us to the Logo-Design-Auction sites where you get 50 recycled concepts for a dollar, or the Do-It-Yourself free website builders offered through your hosting company, we’ll save you the trouble and admit that we can’t compete with that—and don’t want to. But we’re guessing that if your business takes off, you might come back to us later, when you realize that you need to take a more serious approach to your brand and your online presence. We’ll look forward to talking with you then!

How much does it cost to develop …a brand? …a website? …a brochure? …a marketing campaign?

Because all of our work is custom, and because each client’s needs are different, that’s a difficult question to answer. We’ll undoubtedly be higher than your uncle’s neighbor’s son who knows Photoshop or HTML, and we’ll definitely be less than the mega-agencies that are built to serve Fortune 500 clients.

For starters, we’ve provided these guidelines for creating your annual marketing budget, and for better understanding website development costs.

Beyond that, we’re always happy to provide free, no-obligation quotes on your projects, any time. Just send us some information about your specs, goals & budget, and we’ll get back to you with our thoughts and a ballpark estimate as soon as we can—usually within one business day.

What technologies & languages do you work with?

On the front-end, our projects use the latest HTML, CSS, and JavaScript technologies and methods available. And we normally use the Twitter Bootstrap framework, to ensure that our web solutions are responsive and adaptable to different devices and screen sizes.

Powering the back-end of our websites, you’ll generally find WordPress or another PHP-based web platform, providing content management and/or ecommerce capabilities. We can also build sites from the ground up, using PHP frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter, if the project warrants it. We’ll always gauge the best solution for your individual project, and discuss the pros and cons with you, before we get started.

How do you work with clients on a day-to-day basis?

We’re adaptable to most clients’ needs—we know that we need to fit into your process and schedule for this to be a successful relationship. But every relationship requires a different level of interaction. Some clients are happy to email us project specs and let us run with it. Some want to meet around a table get to know the team involved with their project, discuss strategy and brainstorm a little. We’re flexible! Our approach can adapt to your needs.
